The guesthouse and adjacent residence, designed in 1965/1963 have recently been placed on the state and national historic registers and were featured inArchitectural Record Houses of 1967and House Beautiful, 1965. The private grounds offer woodlands, fields, a pond, hidden streams, and lush vistas of the countryside.
The Robert Woodruff Outdoor Learning Center, across the road, includes a 1.5 mile hiking trail, waterfalls, caves and a swimming spot. An outdoor swimming pool with lifeguard, is adjacent the Learning Center at the Owen D. Young School. It is open to the public during the summer.
We are approx. 15 minutes to the Glimmerglass State Park lakefront beach and The Glimmerglass Festival, and a short drive to Cooperstown along the scenic lake road.
