This is a beautifully renovated 1900's cottage. Located in the central part of the island, making it a more peaceful spot for some rest and relaxation, yet is only a 3 minute walk to the water and ten minute walk to the ferry. Ferries run approx. every hour and is a short 15 minute ride into beautiful Portland. Known as a "foodie" city, Portland has an amazing array of restaurants within walking distance of the ferry terminal. The island offers three restaurants and a daytime cafe as well as an ice cream shop. Enjoy the tranquility and wild life that surrounds the cottage. The house is a one bedroom with a queen sized bed upstairs as well as a single pull out love seat making the bedroom perfect for a couple and small child. Downstairs sofa is also a queen sized pull out sleeper. Enjoy relaxing on the front porch or upper deck off of the upstairs bedroom. There is also a screen house out back for insect-free outdoor dining. Note the shed seen in the picture is ours and is not part of the rental space. (so you will have privacy) Perfect for a writers get-a-way! *Please let us know if your visit will be due to a special occaision.*
