Summary: The unit was missing many items we felt are expected when you rent a unit with a full kitchen. When we arrived there was NO COFFEE MAKER, toaster, can opener, dishwasher soap, ice trays, dish towels, baking dishes, hot pads, cork screw (ironically there were 4 wine glasses), measuring cups or measuring spoons. The kitchen was not equipped to make even a simple meal. Also, no bed pillows (there were some decorative sham pillows), not enough towels, no wash clothes, not even a spare full roll of toilet paper. The host did bring a load of items that we asked for the next day. One of the reasons we picked this unit was to have a pool. However, there is NO DECK FURNITURE at the pool. It is "bring your own chair". It would have been nice if the host could have provided some folding chairs in the unit for use at the pool. Also, there is NO LIGHITING in the living room. No lamps, no overhead lights. Once the sun sets, you are in the dark there. We have rented many VRBOs and have never had to leave a poor review or contact a host during a stay. But this unit did not seem ready to rent. The host apologized, saying the holidays had been hectic. However, we booked this unit 4 weeks in advance of our stay. The host was responsive to many of our requests, but after a while it became tiresome to keep sending her messages every time we discovered another problem.
