The Keys Compound, located on the bay with its own beach and deep-water dockage in the Florida Keys city of Tavernier, Florida (MM 92.5), is a unique 2.5 acre vacation rental property for families or larger groups looking for a private oasis. The Keys Compound has three 2 bedroom cottages and one 5 bedroom house which are immaculately maintained and offer the classic “keys feeling” of simplicity while providing a five-star level of comfort that makes the experience at The Keys Compound authentic, super relaxing, private and fun. The listing you are reviewing now is for our three cottages, but you can also rent the five bedroom Ellis House as well and have the entire property for just your group. The new swimming pool and backyard redesign completed January 2024. Our two pickleball courts with lights and a basketball hoop were completed in 2025. The beach area for the Cottages and the Ellis house is shared similar to a hotel. Please view our three different rental packages below. Purchased in 2020 by a family that owns several high-end vacation rental properties, The Keys Compound was completely renovated with new furniture, beds, roofs, impact windows, painting, and landscaping.
The Keys Compound property is 2.5 acres with155 feet of private beach front which can sleep up to 34 guests(double occupancy)in four different homes totaling 11 bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms, 4 full kitchens each with outdoor Weber BBQ grills and deep-water dockage for boats up to 45 feet. Our goal is to create a private experience for our guests, so we offer the following three rental options (please see our description of each cottage, photos and video):
THE RATES AND AVAILABILITY ON THIS LISTING ARE FOR OPTION 1 DESCRIBED BELOW WHICH IS THE RENTAL OF THREE COTTAGES. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN OPTION 2 WHICH IS THE RENTAL OF THE ELLIS HOUSE OR OPTION 3 DESCRIBED BELOW WHICH IS ALL FOUR HOMES. The common areas of the the property such as the beach and the dock are shared by all guests.
Option 1: Rent the 3 cottages named “BEACH”, “TIKI PALM”, and “ISLAND BREEZE”. These 3 cottages have a total of six bedrooms six baths and sleep up to 20 guest.
Option 2: Rent the ELLIS House which has five bedrooms / 5.5 bathrooms and sleeps up to 16 guest. Option 2 is the same price as Option 1.
Option 3: Rent all four homes described in Option 1 & 2 which provides exclusivity of the entire property. The Option 3 price is usually double the price of option 1 or 2. Any event such as wedding, corporate retreat, birthday party, etc requires Option 3, which is rental of all four homes.
A property manager is on call 24 hours to immediately address any of your concerns.

“Ellis House”: Five-bedroom / 5.5 bath two-level home completed in 2019 (approximately 3,200 Sqft) that sleeps up to 16 guests:

The Keys Compound is located in the northern section of the Florida Keys between Key Largo and Islamorada (69 miles from Miami Airport), a 5 minute boat ride to Tavernier creek for ocean access, kayaks available at our beach, snorkel and swim from our beach (lots of fish under our dock). Jet skiing or water skiing in the gigantic and usually calm bay water behind the property is super fun. A boat launch area available two blocks from house. We have one of the best sunsets in Florida Keys, located close to the most popular restaurants in Key largo and Islamorada, and great location to host weddings, corporate retreats or other private events. We have recommendations for restaurant reservations, boat rentals, fishing or snorkeling trips, and other local excursions. (There is a small additional event fee depending on the size and type of event. We look forward to discussing your event.)
